Medieval Festival Dudelange in Dudelange
The Butschebuerger Buergfest transforms Dudelange's Boudersberg district into a medieval encampment each mid-June, billed as the largest medieval festival in the Greater Region. Around 90 craft stands line Rue de la Chapelle alongside costumed knights, wizards, and troubadours, period craft demonstrations, jousting, live music, and acrobatics, with fire performances staged by Societas Draconis on Saturday night.
Medieval festivals have become a familiar summer fixture across Europe, but Dudelange's Butschebuerger Buergfest has built a claim to being the largest such event in the Greater Region, the cross-border area spanning Luxembourg and parts of neighboring France, Belgium, and Germany.
