Festival de la Nature in Antananarivo

Festival de la Nature is an environmental-awareness event in Antananarivo, Madagascar, launched by the organizers of the Festival des Baleines together with the association Cetamada as a capital-city prelude to the Sainte-Marie whale festival. The first edition ran May 12-24 and combined professional sustainability meetings with public education around ocean conservation and endemic species.

Festival de la Nature emerged in Antananarivo as an extension of Madagascar's best-known marine-conservation event, the Festival des Baleines held on the island of Sainte-Marie to mark the annual arrival of migrating humpback whales.
