Mada Nosy Trail in Nosy Be/Radama Islands
Mada Nosy Trail is a five-stage, 100km trail event with 1,900m of total elevation gain, connecting Nosy Be to Nosy Lava along 170km of coastline. A traditional Sakalava sailing dhow ferries runners between stage sites in the Radama Islands, part of Sahamalaza-Iles Radama National Park, with the 2026 edition scheduled for September 11-19.
The Mada Nosy Trail combines two distinct forms of travel across northwestern Madagascar's coastline: trail running and traditional sailing.
