Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta in Kuching

The Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta brings dozens of teams from more than 20 countries to race on the Sarawak River at Kuching Waterfront each October, as an affiliate event of the International Dragon Boat Federation. Its 2025 edition, held under the theme Race for Harmony, drew more than 60 teams and over 2,100 paddlers, the highest participation to date, alongside street food and craft vendors along the waterfront.

Kuching's waterfront along the Sarawak River has become the stage for one of Borneo's most internationally recognized sporting events, the Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta, an affiliate competition of the International Dragon Boat Federation held annually in October.
