Penang International Dragon Boat Festival in Teluk Bahang
The Penang International Dragon Boat Festival is held annually at the Teluk Bahang Dam on Penang's north coast, near Batu Ferringhi, drawing dragon boat teams from around the world to compete in races paddled to the beat of an onboard drum. With roots dating back to the 1950s, the event marked its 45th anniversary as the Penang International Dragon Boat Regatta in a recent edition, and offers free admission to spectators.
