Across Maldives Ocean Adventure

Across Maldives is diver Shafraz Naeem's underwater record expedition, organized with the Visit Maldives Corporation and the NGO Ocean Six Fifty. Beginning January 23, 2026, the attempt covers more than 450 kilometers across three atolls, involving around 55 dives and more than 90 hours underwater using a diver propulsion vehicle. Naeem is targeting two world distance records. This is a solo endurance expedition rather than a spectator festival, though it is tied to organized public and tourism partners.
