Isle of MTV Malta is billed as Europe's biggest free music festival, held each summer at Il-Fosos Square, known as the Granaries, in Floriana. The 2026 edition, its eighteenth, took place on 22 July with global pop star Katy Perry headlining alongside DJ and producer Afrojack and Maltese artist AIDAN.

Il-Fosos Square in Floriana takes its popular name, the Granaries, directly from its original purpose: a network of underground pits carved into the rock during the era of the Knights of St John, used to store grain against siege or shortage in a landscape with little natural farmland.
