The story

Glitch Festival in Valletta/Gianpula/secret venues

Glitch Festival is Malta's leading house and techno event, running across Gianpula Village near Mdina and fortifications in Valletta each August, with the 2026 edition from 12 to 16 August marking its tenth anniversary. Over ninety-five acts perform across eleven venues at Gianpula, supplemented by rooftop pool parties, boat parties from Sliema, and opening and closing events at historic sites.

Ten years ago, Malta's electronic music scene already had a foothold in European clubbing culture, but Glitch Festival set out to consolidate that scattered reputation into a single, unmissable annual event specifically built around house and techno.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Reaching a tenth-anniversary edition with a lineup that includes globally significant names such as Amelie Lens, Ben Klock, Rodhad, Chris Stussy and VTSS places Glitch among the more internationally credible electronic festivals in the Mediterranean rather than a purely tourist-oriented party

02

The mystery stays covered

Gianpula Village's eleven separate venues let the festival run multiple distinct stages and atmospheres simultaneously, from warehouse-style techno rooms to open-air pool decks, while extending programming into Valletta's own fortifications for opening and closing events gives the festival a dramatic historic bookend around its main electronic music core
