Valletta Green Festival in Valletta

The Valletta Green Festival has run annually since 2014, transforming St George's Square and the entrance to Valletta with large-scale floral installations celebrating sustainability and urban greening. The 2026 edition, running from 30 April to 10 May, filled the square with a garden installation built from 100 trees, 12,000 flowers and 45,000 shrubs alongside an eco-market and family activities.

St George's Square sits at the historic heart of Valletta, flanked by the Grandmaster's Palace and normally given over to the stone and hard surfaces typical of a fortress city built for defence rather than greenery.
