Vive Latino in Mexico City
Vive Latino, formally the Festival Iberoamericano de Cultura Musical, is an annual music festival held at Foro Sol in Mexico City, usually in March or April. First held in 1998 and staged annually since except for 1999 and 2002, it gathers major and emerging rock and alternative bands from across Latin America and Spain, making it one of the most important music festivals in the Ibero-American music scene.
Vive Latino began in 1998 as an ambitious experiment: a festival built specifically around Ibero-American rock and alternative music, at a time when Spanish-language rock scenes across Latin America and Spain rarely had a shared stage of this scale.
