The story

Miorita Verde Fest in Butuceni/Orheiul Vechi

Miorita Verde Fest gathers acoustic musicians on a meadow along the Raut River, inside the Orheiul Vechi natural reserve near the village of Butuceni. Limited to roughly 250 guests at the Ferma Vache eco-resort, the small gathering blends ethno, jazz, meditative world music, singer-songwriter sets and pop performances against a backdrop of limestone cliffs and monastic caves. The 2026 edition is set for May 30.

Along the Raut River, where the limestone cliffs of Orheiul Vechi rise above cave monasteries carved centuries ago by monks seeking solitude, a modest music gathering has found a natural home.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

What sets Miorita Verde Fest apart is its scale and setting: rather than a sprawling crowd, organizers cap attendance near 250 people, keeping the festival intimate on a riverside meadow surrounded by the chalk cliffs and cave monasteries of Orheiul Vechi

02

The mystery stays covered

The eco-resort venue, Ferma Vache, favors a slower rhythm suited to acoustic and meditative genres over amplified spectacle

03

The city starts moving

Genre range is broad for such a small event, moving between ethno folk, jazz improvisation, singer-songwriter storytelling and pop, so listeners encounter unexpected pairings across a single day

04

The water draws everyone in

Camping amid one of Moldova's most striking landscapes, with the Raut River as a natural stage backdrop, gives the festival a contemplative character distinct from larger commercial music events in the country
