The story

LaPoiana Festival in Glinjeni

LAPOIANA Festival is the only techno and electro music festival in northern Moldova, held in the village of Glinjeni in the Soldanesti district. Its 2025 sixth edition ran August 10-11 and hosted artists including Satoshi, Zdob si Zdub and Plaiesii across genres spanning techno, house, pop, rap and folk, fusing the traditional Moldovan village setting with modern electronic music.

LAPOIANA Festival occupies a genre niche that no other event in northern Moldova currently fills: it is the region's only dedicated techno and electro festival, staged each year in the village of Glinjeni within the Soldanesti district.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

LAPOIANA distinguishes itself by claiming a genre niche unmatched elsewhere in northern Moldova: it is the region's only dedicated techno and electro festival, giving electronic fans in the area an event they would otherwise travel far to find

02

The mystery stays covered

Its setting in the village of Glinjeni contrasts with the genre, placing club-oriented electronic sounds within a traditional rural Moldovan backdrop rather than an urban club or warehouse space

03

The city starts moving

The lineup reflects this tension productively, mixing international and regional electronic acts like Satoshi with Moldovan folk-rock band Zdob si Zdub and rapper Plaiesii, spanning techno, house, pop, rap and folk within one festival rather than staying confined to a single genre

04

The water draws everyone in

By its sixth edition in August 2025, the festival had established a clear identity built on this genre-crossing, village-set format
