International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo in Fontvieille

Prince Rainier III founded the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo in 1974 to give circus performers the kind of formal recognition other performing arts already enjoyed. Held every January under the Fontvieille big top, the 48th edition runs January 16 through 25, 2026, bringing acrobats, clowns, tightrope walkers, and animal trainers before a paying public and an international jury of circus professionals.
