Mongolia Summer Marathon in Ulaanbaatar/Steppe routes
Mongolia Summer Marathon, centered on the Ulaanbaatar International Marathon, is Mongolia's premier road race, held annually on the third Saturday of May since 2014. Runners loop through Sukhbaatar Square, the capital's parks and surrounding steppe terrain across full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and 1.5K distances, drawing both competitive athletes and casual participants into one of the country's largest organized sporting events.
Ulaanbaatar's Sukhbaatar Square, the ceremonial and civic center of Mongolia's capital, doubles each May as the starting and finishing point for the country's largest organized road race.
