Volubilis International Festival in Meknes/Volubilis
The Volubilis International Festival of Traditional World Music brings roughly 50 artists and groups from Morocco and abroad to Meknes and the nearby Volubilis Roman ruins each summer. Organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication with the Prefecture of Meknes, the 24th edition ran July 3-6, 2025, staging concerts at Volubilis, Place Lahdim and the Fkih Lamnouni Cultural Complex across four days.
Volubilis is best known as Morocco's most significant Roman archaeological site, a sprawling set of ruins near Meknes where mosaics, columns and a triumphal arch still stand from the city's days as a provincial capital.
