International Nomads Festival in Mhamid El Ghizlane

The International Nomads Festival gathers at M'hamid El Ghizlane, one of the last outposts before the Moroccan Sahara, celebrating nomadic culture through conferences, crafts, and performance. Founded in 2004 by the Association Nomades du Monde, the 2026 edition, its 21st, ran April 3-5 with round tables on architecture, ecology, and agriculture alongside weaving, storytelling, poetry, song, and dance from local, regional, and international artists.
