Jazz do Franco in Maputo
Jazz no Franco, or Jazz do Franco, is a recurring jazz concert series held at the Centro Cultural Franco-Mocambicano (CCFM), Maputo's Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center known locally as O Franco. Confirmed through the centre's own programming, at least a third edition featured Mozambican musician Walter Mabas performing material described as leading toward his first album, Blue Window, positioning the series as a platform for emerging and established Mozambican jazz talent.
The Centro Cultural Franco-Mocambicano, known to Maputo residents simply as O Franco, has built a reputation as one of the city's most consistently active cultural venues, hosting everything from film and theatre to interview series and electronic music nights alongside its ongoing Jazz no Franco concert series.
