Lowlands in Biddinghuizen
Lowlands is a three-day music festival held every third weekend of August at Walibi Holland in Biddinghuizen, on reclaimed polder land east of Amsterdam. Founded in 1993, it draws around 55,000 campers across twelve stages spanning rock, hip-hop, electronic and pop. The festival pairs headline sets with comedy, literature talks, science lectures and film screenings, making it more than a pure music weekend.
Lowlands began as an attempt to revive something the Netherlands had lost.
