Laneway Festival Auckland in Auckland

Laneway Festival Auckland is the New Zealand leg of the touring St Jerome's Laneway Festival, held at Western Springs around Waitangi Day each year since its sold-out 2010 debut. Now an 18-plus event after a 2025 licensing ruling barred under-18s, it has hosted headliners from Charli XCX to Chappell Roan and won Best Music Festival at the 2025 ARIA Awards.

Laneway Festival began small and local: a single laneway party in Caledonian Lane, Melbourne, in 2005, organised by Jerome Borazio and Danny Rogers and drawing around 1,400 people to what was then a one-off event rather than a planned touring franchise.
