Dunedin Fringe is an eleven-day, open-access arts festival held each March, letting any registered artist perform across theatres, bars, museums, churches, and shop windows around the city. Founded in 2000 and run by the Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust since 2004, it drew more than 27,000 attendees in 2021 and stages around fifty-plus shows each edition.
