Feria Caballo Espanol Pura Sangre Granada in Granada
Granada's Jockey Club hosts the Feria Internacional del Caballo de Pura Raza Espanola, drawing purebred Spanish horse breeders and their animals from Nicaragua, Central America, Mexico, Spain, and the United States. Riders and owners compete in conformation and dressage-style classes that showcase the breed Nicaragua is regionally recognized for producing at a high standard.
Granada, Nicaragua's colonial city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, is known internationally for its Spanish colonial architecture, but within Central America's equestrian community it is also known for something else: hosting one of the region's leading fairs dedicated to the Pura Raza Espanola, or purebred Spanish horse.
