The story

The Experience Lagos in Lagos

The Experience is a free annual gospel music concert held at Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island, begun in 2006 by Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock. What started with 70,000 attendees has grown into one of Africa's largest musical gatherings, typically held in early December.

The Experience began on 1 December 2006, when House on the Rock lead pastor Paul Adefarasin brought Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton and Donnie McClurkin to Tafawa Balewa Square for a free gospel concert.
