Krali Marko Trails in Prilep

Krali Marko Trails is the largest trail-running event in North Macedonia, held in Prilep and drawing on the mythic and spiritual heritage of the Pelagonian region. Three races are offered: the 40km Kamena Baba Trail, the 23km Treskavec Trail passing the 13th-century Treskavec Monastery and the Markovi Kuli rock formations, and the 13km Markukule Trail, with the 13th edition scheduled for March 8, 2026.

In the folklore of the Pelagonian region of North Macedonia, Krali Marko is a legendary hero whose exploits are tied to the landscape around Prilep, including the boulder fields known as Markovi Kuli, or Marko's Towers.
