Skopje Jazz Festival in Skopje

Skopje Jazz Festival is North Macedonia's leading jazz event, held every October in the capital since 1982. Over more than four decades it has hosted major international names such as Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter and BB King alongside emerging avant-garde acts. As part of the European jazz network, the festival mixes established stars with experimental programming across several venues in Skopje each autumn.

Skopje Jazz Festival began in 1982, at a time when jazz festivals of this scale were rare in the socialist Balkans, and it has run nearly every year since, making it one of the longest-established music festivals in North Macedonia.
