Tagaman Triathlon in Saipan

The Tagaman Triathlon is Saipan's longest-running multisport race, first held on March 12, 1988, and organized annually by the nonprofit Taga Inc. alongside the Marianas Visitors Authority and the Triathlon Association of the CNMI. Named for a legendary Chamorro king, it has hosted sprint, Olympic, and 70.3-distance formats and remains a signature event on the Western Pacific sports calendar.

When the first Tagaman Triathlon set off from Saipan's shoreline on March 12, 1988, it marked the start of what has become the longest continuously held race of its kind in the Western Pacific.
