Nattjazz Bergen in Bergen
Nattjazz Bergen, also known as the Bergen International Jazz Festival, has run annually since 1972, making it one of Norway's largest jazz festivals. It emphasizes ethnic and contemporary jazz and has moved venues over the decades, settling at Røkeriet within USF Verftet, a former sardine cannery, as its main venue since 2013. Held each May, it overlaps with the Bergen International Festival, with which it has collaborated.
Nattjazz Bergen, also called the Bergen International Jazz Festival, has been staged every year since 1972, and its venue history over that half-century traces the changing shape of Bergen's own cultural spaces.
