Telemark Festival in Bo
Telemarkfestivalen is Norway's leading festival for traditional folk music, held over four days each summer in the small town of Bo i Telemark. Founded in 1990, it draws between four and six and a half thousand visitors a year to hear Norwegian fiddle music, kveding song and dance alongside touring international folk artists, opening most editions with a newly commissioned work.
Telemarkfestivalen was founded in 1990 in Bo, a small town in a county that Norwegian folk musicians already regarded as sacred ground.
