Oslo Jazz Festival in Oslo

Oslo Jazzfestival, the longest-running festival in Oslo, was established in 1986 following a 1984-1985 pilot project initiated by Aage Teigen. The debut edition ran with more than 40 volunteers and 350,000 Norwegian kroner in donations from Oslo Municipality. Held in week 33, mid-August, it now spans 60-70 concerts across 15-18 venues including the Oslo Opera House and Oslo Cathedral.
