Vossa Jazz in Voss
Vossa Jazz is one of Norway's oldest jazz festivals, held in Voss over the Palm Sunday weekend each spring since 1974. Alongside headline jazz concerts, the festival features folk and ethnic music, a commissioned new work premiered each year, and dedicated strands for children, elders, and young musicians, spreading roughly fifty events across the town's venues over a long March or April weekend.
Vossajazz traces its founding to December 19, 1973, when organizers in the small mountain town of Voss set out to build a jazz festival around the area's existing sporting calendar.
