Sibi Horse and Cattle Show in Sibi

The Sibi Horse and Cattle Show, also known as the Sibi Mela, is one of Pakistan's oldest recurring cultural events, first held in January 1885 in Sibi, Balochistan, and now combining animal markets, camel racing, tent pegging and handicraft exhibitions each winter for traders and visitors alike.

When the first Sibi Mela was held in January 1885, Balochistan as a political entity looked nothing like it does today, and Pakistan itself did not yet exist.
