Yabous Arabic Music Festival in East Jerusalem
The Yabous Cultural Centre, founded in East Jerusalem in 1995, runs an annual performing-arts program known as the Jerusalem Festival, documented in editions from at least 2011 through 2023. Rather than a music-only event, it combines Arabic music concerts with theatre, dance, and circus performances at Yabous venues including the Faisal Husseini Hall.
Yabous Cultural Centre was formed in East Jerusalem in 1995, when artists and cultural entrepreneurs including Suhail Khoury, Raed Saadeh, Dalia Habash, Jack Persikian, Yacoub Abu Arafeh, and Mazen Bazbaz set out to create an institution dedicated to performing arts in the city.
