Asuncionico in Asuncion

Asunciónico is Paraguay's largest rock, pop, and EDM music festival, staged in Asuncion each March. Since its launch the event has aimed to bring major international headliners to Paraguay, though its history has been shaped as much by dramatic cancellations, from a stacked lineup that never happened to a lightning storm that halted a later edition, as by the shows that did go on.

Asunciónico set out to do something Paraguay's concert market had rarely attempted: bring globally touring rock, pop, and EDM headliners to Asuncion on the same scale as festivals in much larger neighboring markets.
