Aspero Raymi in Supe Puerto
Áspero Raymi is a cultural festival held at Supe Puerto, tied to the ancient fishing settlement of Áspero, closely linked to Caral, the oldest known city in the Americas at roughly 5,000 years old. The name combines the archaeological site with raymi, the Quechua word for festival.
The Supe Valley on Peru's central coast holds some of the oldest evidence of urban civilization anywhere in the Americas.
