Pakaradjaan Basilan, from a Tausug and Yakan word for merry-making, is Basilan province's founding anniversary festival, held late February into early March and centered on Isabela City. Launched in 2011, it features a Tennun Expo showcasing Yakan handwoven textile and a peace-and-development civic theme.

Basilan became a chartered province on December 27, 1973, but its first provincial government officials were not installed until March 7 of the following year, and it is this second date that the province marks each year as its founding anniversary.
