Halaran Festival in Roxas City
Roxas City and Capiz province jointly celebrate Sinadya sa Halaran every December 4 to 8, honoring the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of Roxas City, with a fluvial parade, giant paper-mache Higantes, and a signature fish-themed celebration. Its name fuses Sinadya, representing the city, with Halaran, representing the province, meaning joy in sharing and thanksgiving.
In Roxas City, Capiz, two festivals that once stood apart now share a single name and a single five-day calendar.
