The Kresy Culture Festival in Mragowo, founded in 1995 by the Society of Friends of Vilnius and the Vilnius Land, celebrates the folk traditions of Poland's historic eastern borderlands through dance ensembles, craft displays, poetry evenings, and food tastings from Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, and Ukraine.

Mragowo hosts two large annual festivals with almost nothing in common beyond sharing a town, and the Kresy Culture Festival is easy to overlook next to its more famous country-music neighbor.
