National Festival of Polish Song in Opole in Opole
The National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, known as KFPP, has run since 1963 at the city's Millennium Amphitheatre, broadcasting Poland's biggest annual popular-music showcase on national television every late June, skipped only once during 1982 martial law restrictions across more than six full decades.
Opole's Millennium Amphitheatre exists largely because of one festival.
