The story

WROsound Festival in Wroclaw

WROsound is Wroclaw's summer music festival held on the square outside the Impart building, running for more than fifteen years as a showcase for the city's distinct sound. Two stages, including one dedicated to local acts under the banner Tak Brzmi Wroclaw, cover rap, jazz, trip-hop, electronic and singer-songwriter music across a mid-July weekend.

WROsound grew out of Wroclaw's identity as a city with a genuinely distinct local music scene, one that has produced rappers, jazz players and electronic producers with enough of a shared sensibility that organizers built an entire secondary stage, Tak Brzmi Wroclaw, or This Is How Wroclaw Sounds, specifically to showcase it.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

WROsound's defining feature is its dual identity: a main stage that has hosted international headliners such as the Oscar-nominated trio Son Lux, paired with a dedicated local-artist stage, Tak Brzmi Wroclaw, meaning This Is How Wroclaw Sounds, that keeps the festival rooted in the city's own scene rather than becoming a generic touring-act showcase

02

The mystery stays covered

Set on the square in front of the Impart building, the festival adds two chillout zones and a gastro zone that turn the site into a weekend gathering space rather than a pure concert stop

03

The city starts moving

Genre-wise it resists easy labeling, moving across rap, jazz experimentation, trip-hop, refined electronic production and alternative singer-songwriter material within the same weekend, a range that reflects Wroclaw's eclectic underground music history
