LISB-ON Jardim Sonoro in Lisbon
LISB-ON Jardim Sonoro turns Jardim Keil do Amaral, inside Lisbon's Monsanto park, into an open-air electronic music venue for two July days, pairing house, techno and melodic techno with a Lake Stage and biosensor-linked sound structures woven into the surrounding trees. The bill mixes international names with a strong roster of Portuguese artists.
Monsanto is the forest that Lisbon built into itself: a planted woodland covering hundreds of hectares on the city's western edge, created in the twentieth century as a deliberate green counterweight to the dense historic centre.
