Flight Festival in Timisoara

Flight Festival is an open-air music, art and technology gathering held each June at an aerodrome on the edge of Timisoara. Built around tent camping, live sets, talks, film screenings and a hackathon, it pairs pop, rock and drum and bass acts with a grassroots, community-run atmosphere that has made it one of western Romania's largest annual youth gatherings.

Flight Festival grew out of a simple idea: take Timisoara's independent music and tech crowd out of the city and onto an open aerodrome, then let a long weekend of camping do the rest.
