Mir Gitari Guitar Festival in Kaluga
Kaluga's Mir Gitary festival, running under regional government patronage since 1998, is one of the largest guitar festivals in the post-Soviet space, mixing classical, jazz, flamenco, Latin and folk guitar across venues from the Regional Philharmonic to a rock club in the historic Gostiny Dvor. The 2026 edition drew players from twelve countries over five days in late May.
Kaluga's Regional Philharmonic hall becomes the anchor point every spring for one of the largest guitar festivals to emerge from the post-Soviet music world.
