Moscow Urban Forum Festival in Moscow
The Moscow Urban Forum is an annual international congress on megacity development, running since 2011 and organized by the Moscow city government. Alongside expert sessions on urban planning, it stages a large public festival component with gastronomic events, film showcases, fashion shows, and hands-on activities across venues like Zaryadye Park and Luzhniki Stadium.
Moscow's rapid physical transformation over the past two decades, new metro lines, redeveloped riverfronts, large public parks built on former industrial land, has made urban planning an unusually visible and publicly discussed subject in the city, and the Moscow Urban Forum grew directly out of that context.
