In its second year running, this family sports and healthy-lifestyle festival takes over five hectares of Ulyanovsk parkland each June with more than twenty thematic zones and roughly 150 planned activities. Free to attend, it pairs outdoor fitness classes and organized runs with nutrition and psychology lectures from more than forty invited experts.

Ulyanovsk, a Volga River city best known as Lenin's birthplace and a magnet for Soviet-history tourism, has spent the past couple of years building something with a very different focus: a summer festival organized entirely around the idea that health is not just physical.
