The Kigali International Peace Marathon is an annual World Athletics Label road race held in Kigali, Rwanda, since its inaugural running on May 15, 2005, created by the women's service organization Soroptimist International to promote peace and development through sport a decade after the 1994 genocide.

The Kigali International Peace Marathon traces its origins to 2004, a decade after the genocide against the Tutsi devastated Rwanda in 1994, when the women's service organization Soroptimist International decided to organize a marathon in Kigali specifically to promote peace and development through sport.
