Mountain Gorilla Rally Rwanda in Kigali/Bugesera
The Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally, originally called the Fraternity Rally when it began in 1999, is an international motorsport rally based in Kigali and organized by the Rwanda Automobile Club, run as a round of the African Rally Championship and the Rwandan National Rally Championship.
The Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally traces its origins to the Fraternity Rally, first run in 1999 at a pivotal moment in Rwanda's recent history, as organized motorsport began to re-establish itself in the country following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
