Arsenal Fest in Kragujevac
Arsenal Fest is a multi-genre music festival staged inside Knezev Arsenal, a 19th-century military-industrial complex in Kragujevac that once produced weapons for the Serbian army and later gave rise to Zastava Automobiles. Founded in 2011, it mixes rock, electronica, metal, hip hop, and drum and bass across three stages each late June.
Kragujevac spent much of the 19th and 20th centuries as Serbia's industrial heart, home to the Knezev Arsenal complex that armed the country's military and, in the 20th century, gave rise to the Zastava automobile works that once employed tens of thousands of workers.
