Drina Regatta Ljubovija in Ljubovija

The Ljubovija Drina Regatta, first held in 2002, sends over a thousand boats down the Drina River from Rogacica through Gornja Tresnjica to Ljubovija every second Saturday of July. Organized by the association Drinska regata under Zoran Vojinovic, it is a distinct event from the older, similarly named regatta held downstream in Bajina Basta.

The Drina River, which traces much of the border between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, has become the setting for more than one large summer regatta, and it is worth being precise about which is which.
