NOMUS Novi Sad Music Festival in Novi Sad

NOMUS, the Novi Sad Music Festivities, was founded in 1975 on an idea by Anton Eberst, lapsed for six years in the 1980s, and was revived under the Youth Musical Organization of Novi Sad. Now held each April primarily at the Novi Sad Synagogue, it reached its fiftieth, jubilee, edition in 2025.

The Novi Sad Synagogue, built in the late nineteenth century and prized for its acoustics as much as its architecture, has become the defining stage for NOMUS, the Novi Sad Music Festivities, a festival with a more interrupted history than its current fiftieth-edition status suggests.
