Prislonica Flute Festival in Prislonica
Sabor frulasa Prislonica, known as Oj, Moravo, has gathered Serbia's shepherd's flute players near Cacak since September 1988, when 25 frula players first registered. Now held over two days in the second half of July, it crowns a golden frula champion each year and draws top players, ethnomusicologists, and folk-costume performers from across Serbia.
In September 1988, a modest gathering took shape in the village of Prislonica, near Cacak in central Serbia, when 25 players of the frula, a traditional wooden shepherd's flute, came together to compare their playing.
