One Nation Reggae Festival in Freetown/Western Area

One Nation Reggae Festival is a government-backed celebration of reggae and African-Caribbean unity launched by Sierra Leone's Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, with its inaugural edition running six days in late November 2025 across Freetown-area venues including Sugar Land Beach, Ferry Junction and the historic Bunce Island slave-trade site.

On October 17, 2025, Sierra Leone's Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, publicly launched a brand-new government-backed event: the One Nation Reggae Festival, built around the idea of using reggae music to celebrate unity between Africa and the Caribbean diaspora.
